Nevada Announces Howard Hughes Project

- Restrepo Consulting Group (RCG) was hired by
The Howard Hughes Corporation (THHC) to develop market
studies that analyzed the development potential of private
land uses of Villages 11, 18, 19 and 20 in its Summerlin
master-planned community. The studies evaluated general
economic trends and supply-demand patterns of various
land uses, including residential and commercial, to
aid THHC in the formation of a Special Improvement District
for these Villages.

by JMA Architecture Studios, under its contract with
the City of Las Vegas, to provide market research and
economic advice relative to the redevelopment of the
Las Vegas Downtown Post Office. RCG's work includes
a highest and best use study and economic impact analysis
of the post office and the effects of its redevelopment
on downtown.

Announces CAT Bus Origin and Destination Survey
2001
- Restrepo Consulting Group (RCG) was retained
by L.A. Mayo & Associates as part of the project
team to conduct a Transit Data Initiative Origin / Destination
Study on behalf of the Regional Transportation Commission
of Southern Nevada. The survey will provide the RTC
with data and data interpretations that will be used
by RTC staff in developing plans for the future expansion
and enhancement of Citizens Area Transit (“CAT”)
service. These data will consist of demographic information
as well as origin and destination statistics on current
CAT riders and will enable the RTC staff to better understand
the nature of CAT ridership in order to tailor plans
to customer needs.

Announces Infill Strategy Project
2001
- Restrepo Consulting Group LLC (RCG) has been
retained as part of the consulting team selected by
the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition to develop
an infill development strategy for the Las Vegas Valley.
RCG will assist in identifying, characterizing and classifying
infill properties and sites in the Valley, and in identifying
and assessing potential impacts, as well as preparing
design alternatives. RCG will also participate in preparing
recommendations, policies and strategies.

Announces Desert Wildlife Project
2001
- Restrepo Consulting Group (RCG) was hired by
CH2MHILL to analyze visitation to each of the three
units within the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Desert
National Wildlife Complex (“DNWC”) that
are open to the public, including the Desert National
Wildlife Range, the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge,
and the Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge, for the
years 2005, 2010, and 2020. This analysis will assist
CH2M HILL in developing short and long-term recommendations
for transportation in and around the DNWC for the Federal
Highway Administration.
